Land Director appointed to drive acquisition strategy across Yorkshire
Gleeson Homes, the leading housebuilder of high-quality, competitively priced homes, has announced the appointment of Paul Thornton as Land Director for its Yorkshire region, covering South, West and East Yorkshire.
Paul brings over 15 years of experience in the housebuilding industry. He began his career with Persimmon West Yorkshire, before progressing to Bellway Yorkshire and, most recently, serving as Land Director at Crest Nicholson Yorkshire, based in Leeds.
In his new role, Paul will work alongside Gleeson’s experienced regional team to drive the growth of the land pipeline, supporting the company’s ambitious plans to deliver 3,000 homes annually in the medium term.
Paul has a strong track record in land acquisition and strategic growth, most recently playing a key role in establishing and expanding a new division at Crest Nicholson. During his tenure, he led the delivery of seven sites under contract, helping to grow the region to a position where it is set to deliver circa 100 homes this year.
“I am delighted to welcome Paul to the Gleeson Homes team. His wealth of experience, particularly across Yorkshire, aligns perfectly with our plans to strengthen our regional land pipeline. Paul’s insight and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence and deliver high-quality homes that are genuinely affordable to everyone.”
“I’m excited to join Gleeson Homes, a company with a strong track record of delivering high-quality homes at an affordable price point. With an experienced team already in place, I look forward to progressing the region’s land strategy and contributing to the continued growth of the business across Yorkshire.”
Paul will be based at the region’s newly refurbished 4,327 sq. ft office, located just 10 minutes outside of Leeds City Centre, providing a modern and collaborative workspace to support its continued expansion into new areas.
