The development, named Saxon Green, will deliver 137 much-needed new homes following the receipt of planning approval.

Saxon Green will comprise a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes from Gleeson’s space-standard range, designed with modern urban elevations. In line with planning policy, the development will also include a selection of bungalows and provide 10% affordable housing, ensuring a wide range of options for prospective buyers.
As part of the development, Gleeson will provide over £1 million in Section 106 contributions, representing a significant investment in the local area. This includes funding towards education provision, SEND services, public open space and increased capacity within local healthcare, supporting essential infrastructure and enhancing community wellbeing as Wheatley Hill continues to grow.
Positioned on the edge of the settlement, the development will benefit from generous open space throughout the site, creating an attractive and well-balanced environment for residents. A large-scale woodland creation scheme to the north of the site boundary will further enhance the setting, supporting biodiversity and providing a strong landscape buffer.
