Gleeson supports local knitting group at Unmasked Mental Health with £250 donation

As part of its Community Matters programme, Gleeson is proud to have supported a local knitting group, Knit and Natter, with a contribution of £250. The group is based in Halifax, nearby to Gleeson’s Hays Park development.

The support group offers participants with a calming and creative outlet, alleviating loneliness and reducing stress and anxiety, while fostering a sense of community. The charity has seen a positive impact from Gleeson’s donation, using the funds to purchase more materials and equipment, enabling more people to benefit from the group at a time when it is needed the most.

“Thank you from the team here at Unmasked. The money we have received will help replenish our wool supplies and any equipment needed for future projects. The support group helps reduce loneliness, as it’s somewhere to come for a chat and a brew, whilst making things to help others. It has been a real lifeline for some!”

Paula Biggs, Hub Coordinator

“As part of our Community Matters programme, we are passionate about making a positive contribution to the communities in which we build. It was a pleasure to offer this donation to the team at Knit and Natter, who are a fantastic support network to the local community of Halifax.”

Sarah Whinfrey, Sales Director at Gleeson
