What are the transport links like in Knottingley?

Ideally located close to both the A1 and M62, Rainsborough Park is 20 miles from the centre of Leeds and 25 miles from York. The development is located just a mile from the centre of Knottingley, which is a 20 minute walk away or a five minute car journey. Knottingley Rail Station provides direct services to Pontefract, Wakefield and Leeds. A local bus service further links the development with Pontefract, Wakefield and beyond. 

What schools are in Knottingley?

Simpsons Lane Academy and The Vale primary schools are under a mile away, as is Simpsons Lane Academy - the local secondary school. For further education, Pontefract College is just three miles away. Further afield, you will find Wakefield College (Castleford Campus) and St Wilfreds Catholic High School and Sixth Form College, which are both within five miles of Rainsborough Park.

What amenities are available in Knottingley?

There is a small number of shops, including a post office, located within half a mile of Rainsborough Park. A large Morrisons supermarket is just a short drive or 13 minute walk away. Ash Grove Medical Centre and White Rose Dental Practice are both within a 20 minute walk of the development. 

Things to do in Knottingley

The Junction 32 Shopping Outlet is only five miles from the development and offers an array of shops and eateries. For the more adventurous, Xcape Yorkshire is also five miles away and is home to a huge range of activities, including Snozone and the Gravity Aerial Adventures.
