HomeNow
If saving for a large deposit is holding you back, HomeNow could be the solution to help you move into a brand-new Gleeson home sooner.
With HomeNow, you could move into an eligible new build home, make fixed monthly payments for two years and then buy the same home with a 5% deposit contribution from HomeNow.
HomeNow is not a standard rental agreement or a traditional mortgage. It is an FCA-regulated Home Purchase Plan and is subject to eligibility, affordability checks and property availability.
Ready to move, but still saving for your deposit?
HomeNow is designed for people who are ready to move but need a different way to bridge the deposit gap.
You secure your chosen eligible home with a reservation fee equivalent to one month’s payment, then live in the home during the two-year plan while preparing to buy it.
Could HomeNow be right for me?
HomeNow may be worth exploring if:
You can afford regular monthly payments similar to a mortgage but have not yet saved a large deposit
You are a first-time buyer or are returning to homeownership
You do not qualify for government schemes or housing support because of your income
You want a clear route towards buying the same brand-new home you move into
Eligibility, affordability and property availability criteria apply.
How HomeNow works
1. Check your eligibility
HomeNow checks your eligibility and affordability before you view eligible homes.
2. Choose your new home
Select an eligible Gleeson home and secure it with a reservation fee equivalent to one month's payment, rather than a traditional deposit.
3. Move in
Move into your new home and make fixed monthly payments for the two-year Home Purchase Plan period. The payments are reported to TransUnion, helping you build a payment record on your credit file.
4. Buy your home
At the end of the two years, HomeNow contributes 5% of the property's value towards your mortgage deposit. You then buy the home at its market value using a mortgage from a provider of your choice.
What is included with the home?
Eligible homes include flooring, turf and the standard Gleeson specification. White goods are typically not included. Any specification upgrades are at your own cost and would need to be arranged directly with the development sales team.
Who is eligible for HomeNow?
HomeNow will complete a full eligibility and affordability assessment. Current criteria include age, residency, income, employment and credit checks.
Applicants must be aged 18 to 60 and have permanent UK resident status
The plan is not limited to first-time buyers
Minimum annual income is based on the property's open market value divided by 4.5
Self-employed applicants need two years of tax calculations or two years of company accounts showing income
Credit criteria apply, including limits relating to CCJs, missed payments, IVAs, bankruptcy and previous repossession
Example: a £315,000 home would require an annual income of around £70,000 based on the supplied guide. HomeNow will confirm the criteria that apply.
