Permission to build new homes in Bilsthorpe, Newark

Approval to build 120 new homes in Bilsthorpe, Newark

Gleeson has this week been granted permission to build 120 new homes in Bilsthorpe, Newark.

The greenfield land will become a mixture of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom semi and detached homes all with parking and gardens. Prices are anticipated to start from £116,995 and the Government backed Help to Buy scheme will ensure that many of these homes will be cheaper to buy than local rent levels.

Allen Marshall, Operations Director for the Midlands region said “We’re delighted to have been granted permission to build on the site at Oldbridge Way. Our homes are priced to suit young people and families looking to make a lifetime investment, allowing them take the first steps onto the property ladder and into home ownership. We pride ourselves on using environmentally friendly materials and we work closely with local communities. This development will help to enhance the area, raising the profile of surrounding properties.”

The new development will provide job opportunities for local people, subcontractors and young people looking to start an apprenticeship in construction.  For more information on the opportunities available, click here.
