Gleeson Homes extends its product mix with new 2.5-storey home

Gleeson Homes is delighted to announce the release of its first-ever 3-bedroom 2.5-storey semi-detached home for sale at its Birley Croft development, delivering 79 new energy-efficient homes on the first phase of the development.

The release of Gleeson’s first-ever 3-bedroom semi-detached 2.5-storey house style, the Magrath, marks a significant milestone in the Company’s ongoing commitment to broadening its appeal and meeting the evolving needs of UK homebuyers.

Birley Croft, Gleeson’s latest development in Preston, is set to open its sales centre by March 2026. The site will deliver 79 high‑quality homes, offering a mix of 2, 3 and 4‑bedroom semi‑detached and detached properties designed to appeal to a wide range of buyers.

As part of Gleeson’s commitment to delivering homes that are affordable to everyone, approximately 15% of the homes at Birley Croft will also be available at a Discount Market Sale price. The Discount Market Sale scheme is a council-backed homebuying initiative, designed to make homeownership more accessible. It allows eligible buyers to purchase a brand-new home at a discounted price, typically between 20% and 30% off the full market value.

The addition of Gleeson’s 2.5-storey Magrath house style reflects Gleeson’s commitment to catering to a wider demographic, from growing families to multi-generational households seeking spacious, flexible living in practical locations. The overall design of the new house style combines generous proportions with thoughtful layouts, offering three well-sized bedrooms, spacious living and dining rooms, and modern energy-efficient features.

Alongside its delivery of new homes in Preston, Gleeson has committed to several contributions that will provide significant support to the local community. Section 106 contributions include Contributions of £3,181.95 per plot for Highways, totalling over £250,000 and £269,400 towards Secondary Education.
