Gleeson Homes appoints Scott Stothard as Divisional Managing Director
Gleeson Homes, the affordable high-quality housebuilder, is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Stothard as Divisional Managing Director for its Central division, which oversees South and West Yorkshire, Midlands, Cumbria and Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
With over three decades of experience in the UK housebuilding sector, Scott began his career in 1995 as an apprentice bricklayer before taking roles in quantity surveying, site management, and contract and production management.
Later in his career, Scott was appointed as Construction Director at Taylor Wimpey, where he was responsible for driving build excellence across Taylor Wimpey’s East Midlands and Yorkshire regions.
Scott then joined Vistry Group as Regional Managing Director in 2017 and soon progressed into the role of Divisional Chair, where he led the expansion of timber-frame manufacturing, increasing production by 28% in 2023 and championing modern methods of construction. During this time, Scott also led Vistry’s Special Projects (Fire Safety), which was one of the largest portfolios of buildings that required remediation.
As Divisional Managing Director for Gleeson’s Central division, Scott will be responsible for driving growth and excellence in quality and service to support the Group in achieving its medium-term growth ambition of building 3,000 homes per annum.
