Gleeson gives back to the local Consett community with donation to Blackfyne Football Club
Gleeson Homes, the affordable, high-quality housebuilder, is proud to announce a £250 donation to grassroots football club Blackfyne FC, based in Consett.
The club, which operates less than two miles from Gleeson’s Castledene development, where it is building 105 new homes, has used the donation to purchase new kits for its Under-8s team.
Blackfyne Football Club is an FA Charter Standard club offering a complete football pathway, from junior teams through to adult level. Based in the Consett area, the club delivers coaching and football sessions for the local community. Its mission is to provide a fun, friendly and safe environment in which children of all backgrounds and abilities can develop both on and off the pitch.
Gleeson is passionate about positively connecting with the communities in which it builds. This commitment is formalised in its six-point Community Pledge, which includes supporting local causes via community grants, collaborating with schools, backing fundraising projects, and pushing forward sustainability initiatives. Gleeson aims to deliver meaningful social impact beyond its development work.
