Our commitment to your community
We don’t just build homes; we build communities.
We're proud to support local people, invest in local areas, and create places where everyone feels they belong.
Whether it's sponsoring grassroots teams, partnering with schools, or supporting local community projects, we're committed to making a positive difference and helping our communities grow.
Community pledge
Alongside building sustainable developments where communities can thrive, we are committed to supporting the surrounding areas near our developments through our six-point community pledge.

Make homeownership affordable
We are committed to making homeownership affordable and accessible to everyone, and we’re proud to say that a proportion of homes on our developments are affordable to a couple both earning the National Living Wage*.
Alongside this, we work closely with local authorities to deliver affordable housing schemes, such as the First Homes scheme, ensuring our customers have every opportunity to take their first steps onto the property ladder.

Investment in local infrastructure
Our collaboration with local authorities enables us to deliver significant infrastructure improvements through Section 106 agreements. Depending on local needs, this may include investments in education, healthcare, recreational spaces, road infrastructure, and footway enhancements.
Building sustainably and responsibly
We recognise the importance of maintaining green, outdoor spaces for you and your families to enjoy, ensuring our developments positively impact the environment. We're also dedicated to creating habitats for wildlife within our developments and are proud to have introduced several initiatives to support this such as our partnership with Buglife, the launch of our Biodiversity strategy and our support for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Flag campaign.

Communicate openly
We ensure openness by engaging in public consultations, distributing community newsletters, and providing online updates while consistently valuing and incorporating feedback we receive from the communities where we are building.
Our community newsletters provide updates on our build timelines, S106 contributions and community projects we’re proud to be supporting. This approach is crucial for keeping our residents and community well-informed, fostering trust, and encouraging active participation in local matters.
Supporting local employment and skills
We understand that the UK urgently needs more homes to be built, compounded by a growing shortage of skilled workers in the housebuilding industry.
At Gleeson, we aim to build many of the much-needed homes, whilst inspiring more young people to pursue a career in housebuilding. We’re proud to be working with organisations like the Home Builders Federation (HBF) to support initiatives that encourage a younger and more diverse talent pool into the industry. We also offer both site and office-based apprenticeships, with further training opportunities available. It’s important to us, that we shine a light on the importance of our apprenticeships, and we do this through celebrating key dates such as National Apprenticeship week.
By doing so, we can ensure that even more homes will be built in the future, while also positively contributing to the local economy.

Enhancing the community
Alongside delivering new homes and sustainable developments, we remain committed to developing healthy and happy communities. Through local engagement activities, collaborations with schools, community grants and fundraising projects, we aim to deliver real and meaningful social impact.

Charity partnerships
In 2025, we proudly became an official supporter of Zarach The Children's Bed Charity. Zarach is on a mission to end child bed poverty in the UK by providing beds and essential items to children in need.
Founded by a passionate Primary School teacher in 2018, Zarach has delivered thousands of bed bundles, ensuring children in need have a proper place to sleep, whilst giving them comfort and positively impacting their education and overall wellbeing.
Our partnership with Zarach reflects our commitment to making a difference in our communities, one bed at a time.
