Gleeson reshapes leadership to deliver growth under Project Transform
Gleeson Homes is delighted to announce a series of senior appointments and promotions in line with its strategic initiative, Project Transform.
Project Transform was launched in the Autumn of 2024 to enhance operational efficiency, empower divisional leadership and reinforce regional autonomy, while maintaining robust central oversight. The strategy is designed to improve operational compliance, shorten reporting lines and strengthen local accountability, all underpinned by enhanced data insights.
Following on from the appointment of Scott Stothard as Divisional Managing Director, who will work alongside fellow Divisional Managing Director Andrew Davies; and Simon Topliss, who has been promoted to COO at a Group level, the following key appointments and promotions have been made:
- Scott Robinson has been appointed Major Projects Director, Northern Division, supporting East Yorkshire and Cumbria with the delivery of complex, large-scale developments. Scott will lead on all third-party contractual requirements, managing developments from initial land negotiations through to the handover of major infrastructure.
- Jim Brooks joins as Regional Managing Director, South and West Yorkshire, where he will lead growth initiatives, drive operational excellence, and oversee the safe delivery of much-needed new homes in the region.
- Marc Lansdowne takes on the new role of Divisional Finance Director - Central, a senior leadership position that will work closely with regional teams to bridge local financial needs with overarching business objectives, supporting the next phase of growth and development.
- Oli Bugden has been promoted to Finance Director at Gleeson Homes. Since joining the company 4.5 years ago, Oli has demonstrated outstanding leadership and strategic acumen. His promotion recognises his consistent contributions and the impact he has made across the organisation.
Additionally, Keiron Coulter has been promoted to Group Finance Director at MJ Gleeson plc, reporting to Stefan Allanson, Chief Financial Officer. With nearly nine years at MJ Gleeson, Keiron has been instrumental in shaping the Group’s financial strategy and performance. In his expanded role, he will continue to provide strong leadership alongside Oli, ensuring the business remains aligned with its long-term objectives and growth ambitions
“These appointments represent much more than a change in reporting lines; they are a statement of intent. With Project Transform, we are fundamentally reshaping the way we operate to build a more accountable and cost-effective business, with more efficient ways of working. By strategically strengthening regional leadership and embedding financial expertise closer to the point of delivery, we expect to see a marked improvement in the pace and quality of our builds, tighter cost control and sharper execution across the board at Gleeson Homes. Our people are our greatest asset and with the right structures now in place, we are confident that Project Transform will unlock significant performance improvements and position MJ Gleeson for sustained, profitable growth.”
