All Saints Church in Mareham on the Hill

Gleeson offers support to All Saints Church in Mareham on the Hill

Gleeson Homes, the leading provider of high-quality affordable homes across the North of England and the Midlands, is proud to be working in collaboration with All Saints Church in Mareham on the Hill to enhance the community space within the church.

Thanks to Gleeson’s support, the Church has successfully installed new rainwater and French drains, along with two new benches in the churchyard - providing a welcoming and accessible area for local residents to enjoy. Located just over a mile from Gleeson’s Poppy Fields development, which features 169 thoughtfully designed 2, 3, and 4-bedroom homes, All Saints Church plays a vital role in bringing the local community together.

“Gleeson is committed to making a positive contribution to the areas where we are building. In 2023, we agreed to support the improvement of the Church’s community space, and seeing the project now complete is a great achievement. We sincerely hope it has a lasting impact on the Church and its wider community.”

Frazer Thompson, Regional Managing Director for Gleeson’s Yorkshire East region

“Our 12th Century Church sits proudly overlooking the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. The church is currently the only community building in the village and is open for everyone to use. We are on the route of footpaths and have many visitors, but our old picnic bench became sadly lacking. The care team here work tirelessly to keep the building maintained and accessible, however we have become overwhelmed by damp affecting both the structure and internal furnishings. We have been overwhelmed at the generosity of Gleeson, who offered to install new rainwater and French drains around our church and provide us with two amazing new picnic benches for visitors and the community to use. The attention to detail was exceptional, from removing grass sods and replacing in the exact place after installation of drainage. Without the support from Gleeson, this major project would not have happened.”
