Gleeson Homes staff raise £1,232 for Megan's Rose of Hope

Staff members at Gleeson Homes’ Gateshead and Billingham offices have joined forces to support Megan's Rose of Hope; a charity dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for young people diagnosed with cancer. Through a series of innovative fundraising events, the Gleeson team has successfully raised £1,232 for this important cause.

The various fundraising activities organised by the team included, swimming the equivalent of the English Channel, ‘bake off’ events, dress down days, and staff ‘cook-offs’, all raising vital funds for the charity.

Megan's Rose of Hope holds a special place in the hearts of the Gleeson  team as Megan was the sister of Peter Kelly, a previous employee at the Billingham office. The charitable foundation was created by Jane Kelly, Megan and Peters mother.

To mark its commitment to charitable causes, Gleeson Homes is also delighted to announce that it will be supporting two new charities over the next 12 months; Tiny Lives and Teesside Hospice. The Company aims to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need through its continued fundraising efforts.

Megan's Rose of Hope will be hosting its annual charity night on the 21st of October at the Northumbria Student Union, where supporters can come together to celebrate the achievements and goals of the Charity.

"We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by Gleeson Homes. Its efforts will make a significant difference to the lives of young cancer fighters. Together, we are creating a strong network of support and raising awareness for this important cause."
