Gleeson appoints new Construction Director for its South and West Yorkshire region
Gleeson Homes, the affordable high-quality housebuilder, is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven Sharp as Construction Director for its South and West Yorkshire region.
With over 20 years of experience in the housebuilding industry, Steven has held various roles from site management to Director level.
Steven joins Gleeson from Barratt Redrow, where he started his career in the industry, progressing from Assistant Site Manager to Senior Site Management roles. In January 2022, Steven was promoted to Construction Director for Barratt Sheffield, where he was responsible for starting a new Division, driving forward new sites, build, quality, and service efficiencies.
In his role as Construction Director at Gleeson, Steven will be responsible for managing the region’s construction performance, focusing on achieving build and quality targets, as well as implementing group policies, procedures, and best practice guides. He will also be responsible for driving the commencement of new developments.
Gleeson’s South and West Yorkshire region currently has nine live developments under construction, with approximately six in the pipeline to open this calendar year, all of which sit under Steven’s leadership. His extensive industry experience delivering the highest levels of safety management, quality standards and business objectives will be critical to maintaining standards across the region.
