Derbyshire benefits from excellent transport links, making it easy to travel for work or pleasure. The M1 runs close to our new homes in Chesterfield and Pinxton, giving you an easy drive north to Sheffield and Leeds, and south to Nottingham, Leicester and London. The A6 takes you from Derby into the heart of the Peak District, alongside other routes from around Derbyshire.

If you'd prefer travelling by train, Derbyshire is just as well connected by rail. Direct trains can take you from Derby to London in under an hour and a half. Trains from Chesterfield can take you directly to Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds – some of the north's major economic hubs.

For those much-needed holidays, East Midlands Airport is just over a 20-minute drive from Derby and around a 40-minute drive from Chesterfield on the M1. Manchester Airport is also a manageable journey away, if you need more destinations and flight options.
