We spoke to Kenzie and Tyler learn more about their journey with Gleeson:
“As first-time buyers, my partner and I were so excited to start our next chapter by owning our first home together. We hadn’t considered renting before, as we always knew we wanted to invest in ourselves and get onto the property ladder. After returning from a holiday in Mexico, we knew we wanted to have our own space and started our search!
We chose the Longford because we loved its appealing layout, especially the spacious downstairs area, which is perfect for hosting. The variety of unique house styles offered by Gleeson was a big draw for us, and the Longford ticked all our boxes with its four spacious bedrooms and generous living space.
The process of buying our new home was very smooth and enjoyable. It was amazing to see the house being built from scratch and to choose everything to suit our preferences. We opted for several upgrades to avoid any hassle after moving in. These included the Princeton kitchen upgrade, downlighters in the kitchen and bathroom, upgraded carpets, exterior lights, an outdoor tap, a white kitchen sink, a new cooker hood, and electricity to the garage.
We viewed a few other new build developers in the area, but Gleeson was the closest to our parent’s houses, which was ideal for us. Also, similar-sized homes with other developers were a lot more expensive, meaning we would have had to downgrade in size for our budget!
We liked the idea of being the first people to live in the house, with everything fresh and customisable to our style. We chose this over a renovation project to avoid any major unexpected issues. We have also found our energy bills to be very affordable, much lower than what some of our friends and family are paying.
The location was our top priority. We didn’t want to be too far from our parents, and this estate couldn’t be closer if we tried. When we discovered Gleeson, we knew we wanted a bigger house. We fell in love with the Longford in October 2023, we kept in touch with the Sales Executive and managed to secure an early bird plot in January 2024! Each week, we would drive by to see the updates. We still wake up feeling like it’s a dream to own a house like this. We are very proud homeowners and have celebrated both our birthdays in our new home!
The community on our development is very nice and friendly. We live on a large estate where everyone looks out for one another. Our advice to anyone looking to buy with Gleeson is to enjoy every moment! The process may seem slow and stressful when you’re in it, but soon you’ll be enjoying life in your new beautiful home, and it will be all worth it.”
