Gleeson Homes appoints Group Environmental Manager
Gleeson is delighted to announce the appointment of Shelbey Thomson as its first Group Environmental Manager.
As part of her role, Shelbey will focus on establishing and improving Gleeson’s environmental management system and performance. This will include looking for ways to improve and formalise Gleeson’s environmental processes to ensure environmental compliance obligations are satisfied, as well as finding ways to reduce environmental risks and maximise environmental opportunities. Shelby will also play an integral part in supporting the environmental elements of Gleeson’s sustainability strategy.
Shelbey has completed studies at undergraduate and post-graduate levels and joins from ABP Food Group where she completed their Environmental and Sustainability Graduate Programme. Operationally, Shelbey was involved in environmental permitting and monitoring along with the implementation, auditing, and continual improvement of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, along with resource optimisation projects and supporting APB Food Group’s wider sustainability agenda.
