When Emma embarked on her journey to find her dream home, she had a clear vision in mind: a perfect blend of affordability, location, and personalisation. In July 2024, Emma reserved her first home, a 2-bedroom semi-detached house. "As a solo first-time buyer, this was the perfect size for me!" she shared. By November 2024, she moved into her new abode, which boasted a spacious kitchen, lounge, and a fantastic-sized south-facing garden. "After viewing, I couldn’t walk away from this fantastic home without reserving it, and I am so glad I did."
Emma's decision to go with Gleeson was driven by the excellent incentives offered and the outstanding support system. "I definitely considered renting for a couple of months, but purchasing a home outweighed the benefits of long-term renting. Renting an apartment in the city centre would have cost me just as much monthly as starting my first mortgage."
Emma thoroughly enjoyed her options meeting, which allowed her to personalise her home to her desires. "I decided to upgrade my kitchen and bathroom, as well as adding extra sockets throughout my home and outdoor lighting for extra security purposes." The aspect of having a complete blank canvas to personalise was a significant factor in Emma's decision to purchase a new-build home. "I didn't have to worry about a chain or having to renovate, which completely alleviated any stress during the purchasing process."
Emma would recommend purchasing a Gleeson home due to the excellent support provided throughout. "The team is always a phone call or visit away and will assist you with any queries or problems you may have, even after you have received your keys." She also advises potential buyers to speak to the Gleeson team about various schemes available to help purchase a new home and consider the different styles of homes available before making a reservation.
Emma would definitely consider purchasing another Gleeson home in the future due to the affordability and stress-free process. "So far, I am pleased with my neighbourhood. My neighbours, who I have met thus far, are lovely, and I couldn't be more grateful for that."
